Matthew is the 2024 President of Digital Service Providers Australia New Zealand (DSPANZ) and, in that capacity, has been an active participant in the policy design process with multiple Commonwealth and international agencies. He is the current co-chair of the ATO Strategic Working Group.

DSPANZ is the industry association representing accounting, payroll and business application software developers in Australia and New Zealand. As the creators of natural business systems, DSPANZ members are typically responsible for delivering the last mile of digital transformation for taxpayers, employers and their trusted advisors. DSPANZ is the joint custodian of the ATO Operational Security Framework and the Security Standard for Addon Marketplaces.
